Members are elected to the committee at an Annual General Meeting (AGM) that is held on the school premises, during school hours, in October of each year.
The Committee has four executive offices to fill each year, which comes with specific obligations and responsibilities. These are Chair Person, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. In addition to these executive positions the committee is made up of general members, who are involved in putting forward ideas and suggestions, making decisions, liaising with staff and parents, supervising school premises, and providing general assistance as and when necessary.
All committee members have to be DBS cleared and at least three members are trained in First Aid.
All parents are welcomed and encouraged to join the committee if they wish and there is no limit on the number of persons that can be part of the committee.
